So, there I was... Amazed, and a little confused.
I already had a background of almost 20 years in the martial arts; surely I could make a class for this age group. As I did the research, the picture began to look better and better. When I called other martial arts schools to see if they offered classes for this age, I was told again and again emphatic NOs, and all the reasons why it didn't work.
But I knew I was on to something. My background in psychology already told me that these people were wrong - that this age group was already a bunch of sponges, soaking up everything around them. And I knew that the other offerings for this group offered little more than barely controlled chaos, or a pageant-like show.
I set out to create classes that were specifically designed for these age groups - 3 and 4 year olds, and 5 and 6 year olds - and this is when Kinder Karate® was born. It quickly grew, and I was able to add a location almost yearly. Each location repeated the success of its predecessor.
Today, Kinder Karate has served literally thousands of kids, and the classes have produced results beyond anything I ever dreamed of. The kids have surpassed all my expectations, leading me to add a leadership program to nurture that next level of confidence. My leaders are growing and maturing into not only great helpers - but great people!
